Javonte Harding Is Sprinting His Way To The Top Of The NCAA

Prince George and Team VA alum, Javonte Harding is quickly becoming one of the best sprinters in the entire NCAA over the short distances.

This past week at the MEAC championships Harding picked up four gold medals by winning the 100m dash, 200m dash, and running on the victorious North Carolina A&T 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. His times were 10.21, 20.21, 39.37, and 3:05.97.

After a huge indoor season he has only improved his marks and continues to make himself a contender for multiple national titles. His time of 10.21 ranks 14th in the NCAA this year but if he were to improve just 0.06 seconds he would rank 6th.

In the 200, which could arguably be his better event right now, he ranks 5th in the entire NCAA. The leading time is 19.81 by Terrance Laird (LSU), the only guy who has run sub-20 this season.

It is likely Harding will be entered in the 100, 200, and 4x100m relay at NCAA's.
