After three runner-up finishes and a third place finish that had the Jaguars just 10 seconds away from a state title, Glen Allen are finally the team champions. Saturday they won the Class 5 boys state team title in emphatic fashion scoring 38 points.

Their win was so dominant that they actually had their top six in before any other team had three finishers in. Just like their teams shirts said, they slammed the door shut.
Despite that finish, you could tell the coaching staff led by Jenn Strojny, didn't want to celebrate until it was official. They had been in quite a few close ones (especially in 2017 and 2020) and didn't want to celebrate until they knew it was official.
Tears were streaming when the final results were in and it was official, Glen Allen had won the 2021 boys team title. They end the season with a perfect team record winning the Pole Green Invite, FUMA Invite, Albemarle Invite, MileStat XC Invite, and Region 5B Championships.
Hopefully they get right back to work because they return their 2,3,4,6, and 7 next year.
