Five Big Invitationals To Watch This Season

Biggest Invitational to watch: Oatlands (9/24)

What we are watching: This year will be the reintroduction for many to what Oatlands used to be. Now as the preview for Class 4/5/6 states, this meet is likely to fight for the title as the biggest meet in Va. Not only will it have quantity but expect quality too. This meet draws the best and the best performances from the best. Just think of the meet record holders... Weini Kelati and Drew Hunter.

Largest Invitational to watch: MileStat XC (10/15)

What we are watching: This one is fast and big! It lands right at the end of the regular season meaning teams in form and chasing not only a good time but a great performance as an entire team too. This meet isn't just about the top athletes though, many teams load up their JV races too for the chance at a final PR.

One of the Fastest meets of the year: Third Battle (10/15)

What we are watching: This meet is the big one for most NOVA and MD teams and is run on a super fast course. This course and MileStat battle for the title as the fastest in the state each year.

Early Season, Big Headlines: Knights Crossing XC (9/10)

What we are watching: This is one of the biggest meets all year and its fast too. This serves as a preview for many of the athletes from southwest Virginia attending States but also for many athletes from across the state and bordering states too.

For Fun: RVA Relays (9/17)

What we are watching: This meet is just awesome. Check out the 5x2500m relay races under the light on a lightning fast course.
