Updates on the status of several weekend meets which have been forced to postpone due to the incoming winter storm. The =PR= Holiday Invitational (new date - TBA), Green Dragon Relays (new date - Tues, Dec. 22nd), Bobcat Blizzard Invitational (new date - Sat, Jan. 16th) have all postponed their meets to later dates.
=PR= Holiday Invitational meet director Mike Kiernan had stated earlier in the week that if the meet could not be held this weekend due to the weather, there is a reschedule date of Saturday, December 26th. The meet is now postponed and a decision will made on Monday on the new rescheduled date to host the meet.
The Green Dragon Relays will be postponed to Tuesday, December 22th at the Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond. Message below from meet director Jim Holdren:
Coaches,
Due to the inclement weather forecasted for the area Friday and Saturday we have had to postpone the Green Dragon Relays until Tuesday, December 22, 2009. We will follow the same schedule we had set for this Saturday. We realize this will be inconvenient to all. but the safety must be our first concern. We will allow changes in your entries and ask that you email those changes to ddsnagg@comcast.net ASAP and no later than 3:00 pm Sunday, December 20. We will allow some minor changes on meet day, but must get the bulk of changes in the system before Monday Morning. As many of our devoted meet officials are non-school people and will have to work on Tuesday, we may have to call on some coaches to help in that area. We appreciate your understanding in this unfortunate situation.
