Each year we award 2 one-time $1000 scholarships (1 female, 1 male) and 2 one-time $500 runner-up scholarships (1 female, 1 male). The mission of the VTCA is to provide opportunities for track and cross country coaches and athletes in the state of Virginia and this is one way we do it. It's an easy way for you or your athlete to earn a little extra money for college!
What we look for: Academic and athletic success, good character and leadership, and community involvement
Requirements:
1) Must be a graduating senior cross country and/or track & field student-athlete at a VTCA member school.2) Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
3) Must have earned at least six (6) varsity letters in high school athletics.
At least two (2) of those letters must be in cross country and/or track & field.

What we need:
1) Complete the Applicant Information Sheet which can be found at https://www.vtca.online/2) Official Transcript
3) One (1) Teacher Recommendation and one (1) Coach Recommendation
4) Submit an essay of at least one (1) page in length on the following prompt: How did you help cultivate the sports of cross country and track & field in your high school and community?
