SE #7 Thomas Jefferson romps SE #10 Salesianum at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, DE -- The Thomas Jefferson boys ventured to the state of Delaware to compete in the Lake Forest Invitational as they went up against a strong contigent of schools from several Mid-Atlantic states that included SE #10 ranked Salesianum of Delaware.

The Thomas Jefferson boys were able to manhandle the competition with a 1-2-3 finish from Chris Katilie (16:44), Kyle Smith (16:52), and Hersh Singh (16:55). Kyle Grimsley (6th, 17:20), Aiden McHugh (10th, 17:32), and Brian Landry (13th, 17:42) were top 15 finishers also for Thomas Jefferson as the #7 ranked squad in the Southeast region finished with a winning team total of 22 points. Salesianum finished a distant second with 67 points.

The Thomas Jefferson girls fared well as they took team runner-up honors with 111 points. Newark of New Jersey won the team title with 103 points. Stephany Reaves paced the Thomas Jefferson girls with a 14th place finishing time of 20:58.
