Cameron Sadr Is On His Way To A Historic Breakout Season

XC, being the first season of the year, is when you can see who really put in those summer miles and set themselves up for a big year. That is what we are seeing with Maury's Cameron Sadr.

Sadr has already run 15:34 this season for 5K and split 7:13 at the RVA Relays. Both of those times move him up into the top 5 in Class 5.

Last season he finished just outside of the all-state team at States with his 16th place finish but considering he only ran 16:20 last year and has already surpassed that, things are looking up for the Maury senior.

Cameron committed to senior season success during the offseason. He had a great summer of training and it is paying off this fall." - Coach Bennett

Anecdotally, we are still waiting for Cameron to face some tough competition. So far this season he has only raced on one course (5K) so his times are not compared to others but at least we did see him split something crazy fast at RVA showing these times are serious.

By looking at the calendar, it looks like Maury and Sadr could be headed to MileStat.com XC Invite next and if that is the case we will be watching to see what he can run on a very fast course.

Sadr will be looking for a big performance to move himself into the subjective rankings and to join his Maury teammate Lily Guinn who currently sits at VA #2 on the girls' side.
