Co-hosts Brooke Point girls & North Stafford boys are victorious

STAFFORD, VA -- Formerly the Wolverine Chase Invitational held at Belvedere Plantation in Fredricksburg, this year\'s event became the Black Hawk/Wolverine Invitational, hosted at Brooke Point High School. The co-hosts turned out to have the victorious squads as the North Stafford boys and Brooke Points girls were the team winners on this day.

The Brooke Point girls won in impressive fashion with a 30 point margin of victory over Forest Park (64 pts) with their 34 point team total. The Lady Black Hawks were led by individual race runner-up Brittany Copeland as the sophomore crossed the line in a solid time of 19:21.90. The second place Forest Park girls possessed the race champion in junior Stefanie Slekis. Slekis was in a league of her own from the rest of the field as she ran away with the victory in a swift sub 19 clocking of 18:44.93.

A 1-2 finish from Pat Quinn (16:41.01) and Alec Meyer (16:46.66) led the Wolverines of North Stafford to a decisive victory over Forest Park (71 pts) with a 36 point team total.
