Warm-up

Girls' Race


Lake Braddock senior Kelsey Snowden leads the field through the first mile in 6:11 as Midlothian senior Amanda Patterson sits in third place.


Going uphill around 1.5 miles, Patterson moves into second place, while Snowden still is in the lead pack in fifth place.


Hitting 2 miles in 12:48, Patterson paces off Hawaiian native Ho as the runners fight a sudden dust wind.

With 100 meters to go, it has come down to two runners with Patterson and Ho fighting it out.


Ho pulls just ahead of Patterson at the end to take the victory. Patterson takes runner-up honors in a time of 20:01.


Snowden finishes up a strong race to take sixth overall in a time of 20:49.


Sophomore Erin Klein is the second Lake Braddock runner to cross the line in a time of 21:12 for 9th place.


Lake Braddock senior Kelly Sherrard finishing 13th overall in a time of 21:35.


Heather Mella is Midlothian's #2 runner behind Patterson with a 16th place finishing time of 21:39.


Lake Braddock's fourth runner, Becca Hoogland coming across the line in a time of 21:47 for a 19th place finish.


Michelle Presley finishes right behind teammate Hoogland in 20th place with a time of 21:50 to round out Lake Braddock's five scoring runners.

Boys' Race

Closing out an exceptional individual race, Clark finishes in third place with a time of 17:25.

Girls Post-Race


The Lake Braddock girls come away with second place hardware after an exceptional team performance.


Virginia schools took two of the top three team awards in the girls' race as the Midlothian girls finished third in the team standings.
