BEGINS AIRING ON THURSDAY, APRIL 25

Philadelphia, PA - Drew Griffith (Butler) dominated the Penn Relays Mile continuing the PA win streak.

Griffith clocked an impressive 4:03.35, winning the race by almost seven seconds just one week after he ran 4:00.77 at the Butler Invitational. Griffith is on fire.

Today, he ran a very consistent race, splitting low 61s for the first three laps, then closing in a 59.92. Griffith broke away from fellow PA runner and Notre Dame commit Ryan Pajak (Ringgold) around the 650-meter mark and didn't look back.

Griffith shows no signs of discouragement despite just missing the sub-four-minute mile.

"There's still work to be done," said Griffith after the race. "We're gonna try to keep going sub-four (breaking four minutes in the mile) and still got a couple races left so I think it's possible."

Pajak, who has also been making headlines this season, finished second in 4:10.28. His effort is just off his personal best of 4:09.73.

Ian Johnson (Perkiomen Valley) finished 6th overall, running a new personal best of 4:13.36. Colin Whitaker (Lampeter Strasburg) rounded out the PA runners in the mile, finishing 16th in 4:24.30.
