Athletes from 29 different states and all four time zones are headed to Louisville, Kentucky for the 2024 Middle School National Championships. MileSplit will be on-site capturing photos and video of all the action. You can also catch it live on Saturday morning.
WATCH LIVE
Action will get going at 9:30am (EST) with the Girls Championship 4K. Those athletes will be followed by the boys at 10:10am (EST). These two races will be the biggest races of the day. Also happening will be the Elementary School Championship 2K and the 6th Grade & Under 3K.
In the premier 4K races the top 25 individuals will receive All-American honors and they will be joined by team champions from school teams and club teams (scored separately).
One really cool thing to watch is the "state team" scoring that the meet will do. This scoring scores the top finishers by state no matter the team. They will then crown the "state team" national champions as well.
In 2021 it was Kentucky and Texas, in 2022 it was Georgia and Kentucky, and in 2023 it was Georgia and Kentucky. In the school team competition the defending champions are from Colorado and California respectively.
