This has been a year of records with multiple state records going down but none have been quite as consistent as Victor Olesen.
So far this indoor season, Victor has cleared three new state meet records and cleared 17 feet seven times. To put that in perspective, there are only five guys in the entire country who have cleared 17 feet once this season.
Entering the season Olesen was already the state record holder at 17-1.5 but since then he has cleared 17-3, 17-6, and now 17-7.5.
On top of these clearances, he is US #1 and has held that spot for all but one week of the season.
This weekend Victor will close out his season at Nike Indoor Nationals.
