The nation's fastest 4x200 meter relay on a flat track, Western Branch, will see if they can take advantage of the new 3 turn stagger format for this year's state meet and dip under the current state meet record of 1:41.01 set by Bethel back in 1998. Without a three turn stagger, Western Branch has already ran faster than that time this year at Boo Williams with their state US #3 performance of 1:40.72. The relay figures to feature several of the finalists in Saturday's 55 meter dash finals which Western Branch has 4 of the top 7 seeds led by defending state champion Keilah Tyson .
Behind Western Branch is a fast section all with times ranging from 1:43 to 1:45, which a 3 second separation is a huge gap in an event like the 4x200 meter relay.
