The Glen Allen Jaguars have come close before but this weekend they made history and finally took home their first state XC team title. They won thanks to the efforts of four sophomores, two seniors, and their lowest scorer a freshman.
The Jaguars runners were (in order): Emma Stein (13th - 20:22), Avery Carlson (16th - 20:31), Makenna Pardue (20th - 20:49), Finley Beike (23rd - 20:59), Kelsey Boughton (24th - 21:00), Kate Pietruszkiewicz (48th - 21:50), and Katherine Arjona (49th - 21:51).
Finishing behind them was another Richmond area team in Midlothian who edged out Kellam by just one point.
