Gala Meet Announcements

A couple of important announcements in regards to next weekend's MileStat.com Elite Track Gala.

Final Entry Deadline

  • Some people were not aware that there is an actual final entry deadline of Tuesday, June 8th at 5:00 PM and thinking tonight was the final chance to enter the meet. Tonight's midnight regular entry deadline has always been a way to encourage entries prior to the state meet to give a better idea of the quality of fields and help with recruiting athletes at the state meets. No entries will be accepted after the Tuesday 5:00 PM entry online.

Late Fee Waived

  • We are waiving the $10 late fee for the remaining entry period as long as you mail your entry fee check by Wednesday, June 9th or pay online through paypal by Friday, June 11th 10:00 PM. If you pay your entry fee at the meet, there will be a $10 late fee.

No Entry Standard for All Field Events

  • The running events are filling out very nicely with some events larger than others, but the field events could use more entries and traditionally has been low compared to the running events. As a result, we have decided to get rid of any entry standard for the field events and accept all entries. Keep in mind for the pole vault and high jump that the starting heights will set based off the 10th best seed. Pole vault starting height will be one foot below 10th best seed's height and high jump starting height will be 4 inches below the 10th best seed's height.

No All-Star DMR

  • There will be no All-Star DMR this year. This event was very popular especially with the boys during the first few years of the meet, but has not had the same draw in recent years of filling out. Sorry for anyone really looking forward to this event as it has been a fan favorite.

Coaches Races

  • In the place of the All-Star DMR to be the "fun event", we will be offering the opportunity to coaches to dust off the old singlet and racing shoes and hold an exhibition coaches 100 dash race and 1600 meter race. Coaches can email us beforehand their intent to compete or sign up on race day. Athletes are encouraged to egg their coaches on!
