Hunter wraps up historic HS career with 6th place finish at Worlds

Justin Hunter wrapped up his historic high school career as one of the greatest jumpers all-time in Virginia high school track & field on Wednesday at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada. The 2010 graduate of Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, Hunter qualified for the finals of the long jump with the fifth best mark in Tuesday's preliminary flights. In the finals, Hunter was unable to improve upon his mark and place from the prelims with a best mark on Wednesday of 24'7" to finish sixth overall against the best junior athletes (ages 19 & under) in the entire World. Hunter now heads to Knoxville, Tennessee where he will take his multi-sport talents to the University of Tennessee and figures to be star in both football and track & field for the Volunteers.
