The SportsQuest XC relays (formerly The Brentsville Relays-Under The Lights) are attracting some of the best teams in the Commonwealth. In the Boys Division the top five teams in the MileStat “Cream of the Crop” preseason rankings and eight of the top fifteen are scheduled to compete. In the Girls Division eight of the top fifteen are scheduled to compete. The format will be the same as that of Brentsville with five runners running a 2500 meter loop in parking lot “D” at Richmond International Raceway. That last few races are after sunset and the course will be well lit. It is possible to stand in the middle of the loop and observe the entire race.
SportsQuest is looking forward to 2011 when the event is scheduled to be moved to the “Q” where the race can be viewed on big screen televisions from the festival park.
Only the first 60 teams will be selected to compete.
