Little attention or notice was given to St. Catherine\'s Katie Doswell heading into this cross country season and this past weekend\'s Fork Union Invitational. That all has changed with a matter of one race as Doswell edged out highly ranked Jessica Fanning of Western Albemarle to win the Fork Union Invitational in a stellar time of 18:58. Doswell, winning athlete of the week honors, is expected to due battle with Ginna Ellis of Norfolk Academy for the private school state title this fall as Ellis also had a sub 19 clocking at the Outer Banks Invitational this past weekend.
