The Midlothian boys are looking primed for a run at winning the AAA State Meet in November 11. After beating some of the top AAA teams in the state earlier in the season, such as James Robinson and Lake Braddock, Midlothian is continuing their momentum through their district meet. Senior Austin Smith took the individual title, clocking a great time of 15:41 and broke district course record in the process. With 5 runners in the top 7, Midlothian won easily with 21 points.
Other Dominion District boys teams' season that continue to live another week as they will compete in the Central Region Meet are Manchester (58 pts), Clover Hill (59 pts), and James River (84 pts).
Favorites to win the Central Region crown next week, the Manchester girls are looking ready to do just that as they ran away with their district meet as Mary Warman led the way winning the girls race in 19:35. The Manchester girls placed 5 girls in the top 14 for a total score of 34 points.
Also advancing to the Central Region Meet next week at Bandy Field are LC Bird (46 pts), Midlothian (65 pts), and Clover Hill (94 pts)
