Several Virginia high school track and field athletes recorded personal bests at meets during the week of March 30.
Alex Rudolph (West Potomac) ran 22.16 in the 200 meters at the Leslie Sherman Memorial Invitational on April 2, improving from his previous best of 23.79. The junior finished second out of 36 competitors and ranks 103rd in Virginia and 14th among juniors in the state.
Oluomachi Nwakor (Jefferson Forest) cleared 5-2 in the high jump at the Appomattox County High School Invitational on April 4, bettering her previous mark of 4-10. The freshman placed fourth out of 14 competitors and sits 43rd in Virginia and fourth among freshmen.
Lellah Guhn (Woodside) clocked 15.39 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Run Eight "O" Four Invitational on April 4, dropping from her previous best of 16.47 set in March 2026. The senior finished second out of 11 competitors and ranks 57th in Virginia and 20th among seniors. Guhn also ran a personal best 44.32 in the 300-meter hurdles, improving from 48.03.
Logan Hodges (William Byrd) threw 143-3 in the discus at the Byrd Opener on March 31, breaking his previous best of 129-6 from May 2025. The senior won the event among 19 competitors, set a school record, and ranks 89th in Virginia and 25th among seniors.
David Veney (Varina) ran 22.36 in the 200 meters at the Run Eight "O" Four Invitational on April 4, improving from 23.18 set in March 2026. The junior finished seventh out of 84 competitors and ranks 145th in Virginia and 26th among juniors. Veney also jumped a personal best 39-7 in the triple jump, up from 38-10.5.
Agape Zinsou (Lake Taylor) ran 12.28 in the 100 meters at the Run Eight "O" Four Invitational on April 4, bettering her previous mark of 12.59. The senior placed third out of 58 competitors, set a school record, and ranks 66th in Virginia and 24th among seniors. Zinsou also clocked a personal best 1:00.65 in the 400 meters, improving from 1:03.56.
Nyema Harvey (Highland Springs) ran 12.14 in the 100 meters at the Run Eight "O" Four Invitational on April 4, dropping from 12.51 set in March 2026. The freshman finished second out of 58 competitors and ranks 40th in Virginia and second among freshmen. Harvey also ran a personal best 59.88 in the 400 meters, improving from 1:00.07.
