It's been an incredible year for McNaney. Earlier this year, the senior came away with her second ECAC title in the pentathlon at the indoor championships. Then, she was crowned the Penn Relays champion in the heptathlon with a dominating performance and now she dominated the competition once again as she earned her first ECAC championship in the heptathlon with a 372 point victory as McNaney scored 5404 points.
However, McNaney wasn't the only Flame making noise as Hoskins earned his first ever title in the IC4A championships. The freshman, who was in first place at the Penn Relays before having to withdrawal with a heel injury, also dominated, scoring 7398 points which was 477 more than the closest competitor.
It marked the first time in school history that Liberty has won both the heptathlon and decathlon in the same year.
But it wasn't only McNaney and Hoskins who had a good day on the track.
In the pole vault, Amiee Riley jumped 11'7 ¾ to capture seventh place, while Charlene Hibbert placed 11th and Kena Butts placed 14th in the long jump with distances of 19' and 18'10.
Also competing in the heptathlon was Arlene Zelinskas as she placed eighth with 4504 points.
The women's team currently stands in 11th place overall heading into the final day of competition.
On the men's side, Alonzo Phillips finished sixth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.28, while Josh Gilreath placed 18th in the 400m dash, running 48.75.
Although Hoskins dominated the heptathlon, Dan Newell also competed as he placed seventh with 6024 points.
Liberty's team of Christian Nichols, Travis Campbell, Chris Lyons and Dan Rabe placed 10th in the 4x800 relay.
Dan Royal continued his success as he placed seventh in the hammer throw with a toss of 194'6, while Josh McDougal finished 16th in the 1500m run with a time of 3:51.59.
In the 100mH, Micah Brinkley finished 25th and Mike Hagen placed 34th with times of 14.94 and 15.43, respectively.
Heading into the final day of competition, Liberty's men are currently tied for first place with Rutgers as both teams have recorded 36 points.
The third and final day of competition is scheduled to get underway tomorrow.
