Richotte and Spence Place in the Top-Ten at 2005 NCAA East Regional Championships

New York, NY - The Highlanders conclude final day of the 2005 NCAA East Regional Championships with two top-ten finishes. The meet was hosted by Manhattan College at Ichan Stadium on Randall's Island, NY.

Sophomore throwers Brian Richotte (Berkley, Mich.) and Jeremiah Spence (Riner, Va.) highlight the throwing events for Radford. Richotte placed fourth and threw a distance of 205-01 in the hammer, while Spence threw a distance of 189-10 to place ninth in the event.

Sophomore Tiffany Evans (Dumfries, Va.) threw the shot a distance of 47-01.50 to place 11th in the event. Evans placed tenth (169-11) in the hammer throw on Friday.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team placed 19th and set a new school record with a time of 3:49.33. The team consisted of Maurika Quarles (Manassas, Va.), Dena Caple, (Richmond, Va.), Lauren Diggs (Waynesboro, Va.) and Jasselle Cruz (Vineland, NJ).
