The two best throws talents in the state of Virginia for girls both reside at Group AA schools between Robert E. Lee's Daquaa Scott and Christiansburg's Rochelle Evans with the top two returning marks from 2010 in both the shot put and discus. Scott held the upperhand over her Group AA rival Evans last year with state titles indoors in the shot put and outdoors in the shot put and discus.
