Girls High Jump - Western Branch's Keilah Tyson is the defending state indoor champion in the event and returns as the top seed in the event at 5'8", which is the height that she cleared last year to win at Boo Williams. She has only competed in the high jump in four meets this season, but has been a consistent performer in her few opportunities with two 5'6" clearances and a state leading 5'8" clearance at the Suffolk Stars Invitational.
Green Run's Chelsea Utley recent achieved a season best height of 5'6" to win the Eastern Region title, but jumped even better last spring when she defeated Tyson for the Group AAA state outdoor high jump title before finishing as a national runner-up in the high jump at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina with a personal best height of 5'8.50".
