The first thing Cosby coach Bryan Still says when asked about his girls’ track team is – “my group of girls are the toughest group of athletes I have ever been around.”  Coming from a man who also happens to be a former NFL wide receiver, these words are no small praise, and based on the performances that the lady Titans have managed to accumulate this season, they are well-deserved.

Although junior standout Megan Moye is certainly the most recognized athlete on the team, the success of the Cosby program this year has also depended largely on a lesser known group of freshman and sophomores, whose combined efforts allowed them edge out a number of perennial Central Region powers for the regional title this past weekend.  It was the team’s first, and a remarkable improvement over an 18th place finish just a year ago.
