Liberty's Carol Jefferson has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week the League announced today.
Jefferson, a sophomore from Schwenksville, Pa. finished first overall at the VMI Invitational with a time of 18:37.04. As a team, the Flames took first place in the 5K race.
The Flames and Jefferson will be back in action next weekend as a portion of the team will travel to Richmond, Va., to participate in the McDonald's CC Festival on Friday and then a portion of team will travel to Stanford, Calif., to run at the Stanford Invitational
