The first real weekend of outdoor track & field in Virginia begins this weekend with several relay heavy meets as well as invitationals providing the normal slate of events. The Knights Track Classic at Roanoke College will be one of the largest meets in the Southwestern portion of the state this entire spring. The Conn-Madden Relays will be an icebreaker for the state's fastest from the Eastern Region. The Brian Watkins I-95 Invitational will feature many of the best athletes from the Northwest Region prior to the start of April. The Manchester Relays will see a lot of the Central Region's individual stars hidden and warming up in relay action. Virginia state indoor leaders in the mile, George Carter and Hannah Brown of Blacksburg, are competing tonight in the elite high school 3200 at NC State's Raleigh Relays.
MileStat.com will have on-site coverage at several meets this weekend with photo coverage from Ryan Kelly and Andrew Kicinski at the Conn Madden Relays and Knights Track Classic respectively along with video/photo coverage from Brandon Miles at the Manchester Relays. Coverage help wanted and needed at the remaining invitationals this weekend.
