The 2011 VHSL Group AAA State Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be held at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia on June 3rd and 4th will be one of the most competitive and exciting in meet history with some of the state's all-time greats competing, coupled with historic great depth in many events.
Girls Team Contenders
The Western Branch girls are the defending champions from both outdoors and indoors with no intentions other than matching their successful defense of their indoor state title this past winter with another first place trophy from Coach Claude Toukene's crew from Chesapeake. The Lady Bruins could flirt with a team points total of 100 points after scoring 96 points in last year's outdoor state meet and possessing an arguably stronger roster this spring.
