Kippy Keino is a product of Kenya as he is the son of 1968 Olympic 1500 champion Kip Keino Sr., but we consider him a son of Virginia as he went to Fork Union Military Academy in middle school and there became one of the state\'s best high school runners. Keino qualified for Foot Locker Nationals his senior year at Foot Locker South with a 15:01 clocking. In track, Keino had high school bests of 4:09 for 1600 meters and 9:05 for 3200 meters. Keino currently runs collegiately at Villanova where he has qualified for the NCAA Region Meet twice and has ran a 3:45 1500, 4:05 mile, and 9:08 3K steeplechase.


After having a tumultuous early cross country season, I seemed to have picked up speed and gained some positive momentum towards the end of the season finishing on a positive note. I feel encouraged and motivated and looking to carry that momentum into the indoor season. Now that cross country is over, I\'m shifting gears into indoor track mode.
