Virtual meet preview for the Fork Union Invitational to be held Saturday, September 10th at FUMA's Hardy National 3 mile course in Fork Union. Albemarle boys looked great last week at the 2 miles distance and this week will bump up to three miles led by individual favorite Adam Visokay. This race could feature three potential AAA regional champions in Brent Coulter from Landstown in the Eastern Region, Ronnie Calkins from Douglas Freeman in the Central Region, and Visokay in the Northwest Region along with returning private school state champion Scott Newton of Collegiate. Three of the top four ranked teams in Virginia will also be competing in the boys' race with #2 Albemarle, #3 Trinity, and #4 Western Albemarle.
Fork Union also looks to be the season opening debut for Cosby's Megan Moye, who rates as one of the best returning individual runners in the state after a banner track season and posting sub 4:50 and 10:30 times respectively at 1600 and 3200 meters. Last year, ...
