Without a doubt, the largest meet so far this season for Virginia athletes, but across the Potomac River at the Prince George County's Sports & Learning Center. The =PR= Holiday Invitational saw 59 national elite performances from Virginia individuals and relays. The Westfield boys and Midlothian girls in particular impressed in relay action. The Westfield boys swept the relays with auto state qualifying times in the 4x400 (3:28.97) and 4x800 (8:04.19) along with a 1:34.28 victory in the 4x200. The Midlothian girls were not far removed from an extended cross country season at the Nike Cross Nationals and showed no problem transitioning to the track with a state leading time of 9:39.37 in the 4x800 meter relay and finished with a 4:06 win in the 4x400.
