A look at the Virginia girls individuals and relays ranked among the top 50 in the United States for the 2011-2012 indoor season based on the MileSplit US national rankings database as of February 29th. There are no national leaders or US #1's from Virginia, but the state is well represented among the top 10 and 20 in many events. The highest national ranking for a Virginian at US #3 belong to Grassfield's Kiara Howell in the shot put with state record tying throw of 48'4.75" and Louisa County's Javanique Burruss (pictured right by Andrew Kicinski) in the long jump with personal best leap of 20'1".
