What was your most memorable race or meet?
My most memorable race was my last high school race ever, the 3200 meter run at the state meet. I was 11th with a lap to go and I kicked my way into 8th to finish All-State and PR by 5 seconds.
What would you consider your biggest competition?
The distance guys in my district were probably my biggest competition this year, especially Andrew Gaiser from Forest Park. He pushed me to do my best every time I raced him, and when I didn't race him, I still had his time in the back of my head during the race. Every time we stepped on the line together, it was a fight to the finish.
Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
I would say being All-State in the 3200 this year stands out the most, and breaking the meet record in the 1600 at the Cardinal District Championships would be a close second, even though I'm sure that won't stand...
