Despite graduating three key members from their two-time defending VIS state cross country champion squad, the Trinity boys still return enough to make a serious run at a three-peat led by the Strehler twins, Reider and Mac. Coached by Marcus Jones, Trinity has two of the fastest returning private school distance runners between Reider Strehler (16:07 5K PR) and Mac Strehler (16:16 5K PR). In might be a battle between the two in the Strehler household for the state title and follow in the footsteps of their older sister and current University of Virginia runner Barbara Strehler. The pack and remaining top five behind the Strehlers for Trinity will need to close the gap which currently includes 3 sub 18 minute 5K runners in Jake Wilkes (17:15), Reid Barden (17:26), and Jamie Hiegel (17:52).
