MileStat.com is reaching out to interview and recognize all of the head coaches from the victorious cross country state championship teams from this past weekend to give them the opportunity to reflect and share their feelings and thoughts on their team's successful fall seasons culminating with state team titles. On Saturday at Great Meadow, Lake Braddock coach Mike Mangan guided his girls' squad to a fourth Group AAA state cross country team title since he took over the program in 2000 and added a 10th overall title to the storied progam's total count.

How many years have you now been coaching?
I started coaching in the winter of 1987 as a volunteer at my high school and have coached all three seasons a year since.
