MileStat.com Athlete of the Week award for the week of May 7th through May 13th goes to Hermitage\'s Queen Harrison and Manchester\'s Anthony Chesson.
Queen Harrison, Sr, Hermitage HS/Glen Allen
At the Southern Track Classic, the Hermitage senior leaped to a US #3 mark of 40\'8.75\" in the triple jump, while also placing second in the 300 meter hurdles (43.54) and 200 meter dash (24.57). Her triple jump mark eclipsed the former meet record held by Yvette Lewis at 40\'8\". Lewis is a collegiate national champion in the event now at Hampton University.
Anthony Chesson, Jr, Manchester HS/Midlothian
Chesson was a member of two winning relays at the Southern Track Classic with a US #8 SMR and VA #2 4x100 meter relay, while also breaking the 200 meter meet record held by current Houston Texan and NFL pro bowler Jerome Mathis with a first place and VA #2 time of 21.36 in the sprint event.
