I don't understand why MileSplit MD doesn't rank the 400MH. We have so many athletes that compete in that event throughout the Spring and Summer Seasons. It is contested at the Penn Relays, New Balance, and the AAU&USATF national series. You're doing a disservice to the kids!

@kevd66 We do rank it. 400 hurdles go in our database just like all other events. http://md.milesplit.com/rankings/events/high-school-boys/outdoor-track-and-field/400H http://md.milesplit.com/rankings/events/high-school-girls/outdoor-track-and-field/400H

When you go to the rankings for MD athletes, the 300MH are selectable from the MD page. In order to see what MD 400MH athletes are doing in the state, you have to go to USA Milesplit, select 400MH and then filter for MD.

@kevd66 Not true. 400 hurdlers is under the other section on the rankings events with other events not commonly run. We have it set up with default events as those are the common championship season events that helps teams project how they will finish in virtual meets and other stats features. Wouldn't make sense to double score the 300 hurdles and 400 hurdles in the same virtual meet or other events not run in championship season in-state. http://md.milesplit.com/rankings/leaders/high-school-boys/outdoor-track-and-field

I see that section. Thanks for making it clearer. However if you're at the rankings home page and you select event. You only get 110 & 300. I see for some other states you have all events. We have more invitationals each year that are running the 400MH, as well as the before mentioned National meets. Whenever you have the who won the weekend section, there isn't any mention of the athletes that might have run the 400H, only those that ran 300H each weekend. It eliminates some coverage for those athletes.

@MileStat thanks for the clarification. So basically if the State Association doesn't have it for their championship meets, then it will continue to only be able to selectit in the the "others" section. but I do notice that PA, NJ, NY have both intermediate hurdle races in the drop down menu.
