Coaches and Athletic Directors,
Northumberland Middle School would like to extend an invitation to your middle school track & field team to participate in the inaugural Salty Shores Invitational Track & Field Meet to be held at the Northumberland High School Track & Field Stadium on Saturday May 5, 2012 in Heathsville, VA.
The meet is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The Northumberland High School Track & Field Stadium is comprised of an 8 lane all weather track (1/8 inch or less spikes). The two long jump runways and the high jump area are constructed from the same all weather material as the track. We will be running 2 runways for the long jump. Northumberland also has a separate discus and shot put area. All track events will be F.A.T. timed.
Trophies will be awarded to the first place girls and boys team. Individuals placing within the top 3 in an event will receive a medal, 4th - 6th places will receive ribbons, and the top 2 relay teams in each relay event will receive medals.
The entry fee is $60 per school gender team or $8 per individual (max $60 per gender team, $120 per school boys and girls team). There is a limit of 3 entries per gender event per school and 2 relay teams per gender relay event per school. An individual may be entered into a maximum of 4 events 3 of which may be track events (including relays).

*There will be a stadium admission fee of $3 charged at the gate for spectators.
*Concessions will be available for purchase during the meet.
*Jewelry and uniform rules will be enforced. No electronics are allowed in the competition areas.
