Defending Group AA state outdoor 400 meter dash champion Steven Graham of Loudoun County started off rolling in his first meet of the outdoor season on Saturday at the Brian Watkins I-95 Invitational. The junior Graham clocked a full second PR at 400 meters with a swift 48.48 performance to beat his previous best of 49.55 from his state title win last spring as a sophomore. Graham finished second in the 200 meter dash later in the meet to Group AAA 55 meter dash state champion Mustaqeem Williams of Forest Park. The speedy sophomore Williams was only a hundredth off his personal best at 21.85.   Graham's teammate and another junior at Loudoun County High School, Patrick Joseph put together a great distance double at Potomac Senior High School this weekend. Joseph won the 1600 meter run in 4:18.67 and then came back shortly after to take first in the 800 meter run as well to hold off Naval Academy recruit Greg Bohmke (1:57) in a 1:56.92 clocking. Both Joseph and Graham for Loudoun County appeared to show little race rust coming from a school and county which does not offer indoor track.   C.D. Hylton junior Hali Mcfadgen was a winner in three events at the Brian Watkins I-95 Invite including a VA top 100 all-time performance in the 300 meter hurdles with a convincing 44.77 victory. An All-State finisher in Group AAA for the 300 meter hurdles as a freshmen (6th, 45.24), Mcfadgen dipped under 45 seconds for only the second time in her high school career after claiming first earlier in the meet in the long jump (16'3") and 100 meter hurdles (15.58).   Brian Watkins I-95 Invitational Complete Results Photo Gallery Race Videos
