Timing:

FAT timing will be used
The Handley T&F Invitational is a District, Region and State Qualifying Event.

Awards:

Trophy: team trophies for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place
Medals: top three (3) finishers in individual events
Medals: top three (3) teams in relay events

Entry Guidelines:

ENTRY PROCEDURE - TBA
Scoring Events: TWO (2) athlete per individual event per school.
Scoring Relay Events: ONE (1) relay team per school.
Non-Scoring Event: CO-ED Medley Relay = TWO (2) teams per school

Implements:

Meet officials must verify event implements.
Implement Verification: 7:45-8:15 am near Handley Bowl Team Room.

Participation:

As per Virginia state limitations

Facility:

1/8 spikes are permitted.
NO athletes, coaches or spectators are allowed in the school.
Coaches or school personnel must monitor their schools team members at all times.

Parking:

Spectator parking areas are available on Handley Boulevard.
No bus parking in the student parking lot on Handley Boulevard.
Athlete drop-off = Jefferson Street.
Bus Parking = John Kerr Elementary School.

T-shirts:

T-shirts, etc. will be on sale: Cost - $TBA

Concessions:

Concessions will be available.

Coaches Meeting:

Scratches only.
No additional entries will be accepted.
A field event competitor may scratch without penalty.

Miscellaneous:

Field Events: Participants must report to the event area by second call. Absence for the third call will result in a scratch for the event.
Track Events: Participants must report to the bullpen by second call. Absence for the third call will result in a scratch for the event and the remainder of the track events.
Properly Equipped and Sportsmanship Certification Form: The form must be completed and return to Bill Stewart.
Uniform Rule: Meet management will follow the uniform rule as stated in the NFHS Track & Field Rule Book. It is the responsibility of the athletes and coaches to follow the uniform rule.

Entry Information:

All track times should be entered as FAT. If time is hand-timed ADD .24 (11.6 hand-timed = 11.84 FAT)
All field event performances should be entered in feet() and inches()

Event Scoring:

Eight (8) places will be scored for individual and relay events.

CO-ED Relay is a non-scoring event.

1st Place = 10 points

2nd = 8

3rd = 6

4th = 5

5th = 4

6th = 3

7th = 2

8th = 1

9:00 am Field Events
High Jump-girls (starting height = 410) followed by High Jump-boys (starting height = 510)
Long Jump-boys/girls followed by Triple Jump-boys/girls (4 jumps open pit)
Shot Put boys/Discus girls followed by Shot Put girls/Discus boys (4 throws in flights)
To be measured: There will be minimum performance marks in the LJ-TJ-SP-D events.
