Participation: A contestant may compete in any number of field events, but shall be limited to participation in only three running events, except an athlete who runs the 3200 meters may compete in only one other running event.

Facilities: Six lanes of rubber surface; throw circles are concrete; all jumps are rubber surface. Only or 1/8 in pyramid spikes can be worn. No tape can be placed on the track or runways; please use washable chalk.

Equipment: Each team must furnish its own towels, discuses, shots, and batons. Each contestant must wear a school uniform which shall consist of a jersey, shorts, and shoes.

Procedure: All scratches must be reported by May 9, 7:00 PM, no additions. Any athlete who is not scratched by May 9 in running events and fails to participate in an event will be disqualified from the meet. This is the same policy as the region and state meets.

Miscellaneous: Shot and discuses will be weighed in and checked at 8:30 at the front of the field house. All implements will then be taken to the throw area.

All coaches and non-participating team members must remain in the stands during the running events.

The starting height in the high jump will be determined by the entries. Finals will be held in the field events; the top 7 in each event will be given three more attempts.

Warm-up is behind the stadium and the bullpen is near the high jump area. If not reported by third call the athlete will be disqualified.

All coaches are encouraged to talk with their athletes about the rules especially uniforms and language.

Help: Two inspectors are need for the exchange zones during the 4x100 relay. Zone One-Chilhowie; Zone Two-Rural Retreat; Zone Three-George Wythe.

Admission: $5.00 per person

Region Meet: Athletes who place in the first six places or top 3 relay teams or who have met state or regional standards need to be put on the regional entries. The entries are due on Monday May 20.
