THE BECKY SELFE HAS A NEW LOCATION!!! THE 4-H CENTER BETWEEN MEADOWVIEW AND ABINGDON!!!
My name is Mark Love and I am the Head Cross Country Coach at Patrick Henry High School in Glade Spring, Va. I would like to invite you to the 6th annual Becky Selfe Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 at our new location at the 4-H Center on Hillman Highway between Meadowview and Abingdon.
We had 5 great years at the Research Farm across the street from Patrick Henry but it is time for a change. The 4-H center is an outstanding location for a cross country meet and once you see it I know that you will agree.
The 4-H Center is only 6 or 7 miles from Patrick Henry High School at Exit 22 (Enterprise Rd.) There is lots of open space, woods to run through, and it is very viewer friendly. I know that all the runners and coaches will like the new course.
INFORMATION FOR THE MEET:
- The entry fee is $60.00 per school or $30.00 per team (boys and girls) for High Schools. The entry fee for middle schools is $30.00 per school.
- Individual Runners (less than 5 per team) will be $4.00 per runner.
- The Open Race is $5.00 per runner.
- You can send your entry fee to Patrick Henry High School, 31437 Hillman Highway, Glade Spring, Va, 24340, or you can bring it the day of the meet.
- Make checks payable to Patrick Henry High School and please write on the memo line of the check that it is for cross country.
- There will be t-shirts and concessions for sale at the meet.
ENTRIES: Entries will be done online this year. It is already open on the calendar. If you know that you will be attending, please go ahead and add your schools name so I can have an idea of how many schools will be participating.

DIRECTIONS:
REMINDER - NEW COURSE LOCATION
- Take I-81 to the Enterprise Rd. Exit (Exit 22). Take a right off the exit if traveling South, take a left if traveling North. Follow this road to the stop sign and take a left. You will be on Hillman Highway and you will follow Hillman for 1.5 to 2.0 miles and the 4-H Center will be on your left. There will be someone there to park the buses.
