Meet Information

Coaches,

Here is some important information concerning our meet held at CSHS on Wednesday April 30th.

1.) All entries must been sent through milesplit. Please see the milesplit calendar dual/tri/quad. The name of the meet is River Ridge District #2. Please contact me for the password. Your entries are due Monday night by 11:59 pm. We will print off field event and heat sheets Wednesday morning.

*Here is a list of teams that will be attending: (Blacksburg, Cave Spring, Christiansburg, Pulaski, and Salem).

2.) We are going to FAT this meet. Please tell your athletes to check-in at their events. Athletes in running events will receive their hip numbers before stepping on the line. We do not have lights at Cave Spring so we will be on a rolling schedule and will try and move as quickly as possible. Please tell your athletes to listen for the announcements and keep and eye on the schedule. If there are a ton of entries there is a very good chance that we will not get through this entire meet.

3.) Here is what field events we are going to start with: (Boys Discus, Girls Shot, Girls High Jump, and boys/girls long jump). 4 jumps/throws parked open pit. We will make announcements after each event is completed.

**Pole Vault will not start until 4:30 pm.

4.) Please tell your athletes team tents can be set up on the JV football field to the right of the ramp leading up to the track. They need to enter the track from the same entrance we used for Knights Track Classic.

5.) Restrooms by the track in the baseball are for coaches, volunteers, and officials only. All athletes must use the restrooms in the front lobby. Please tell your athletes not to wear their spikes in the front lobby.

6.) Weather forecast right now is for 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms. We will have a lighting indicator. If a thunderstorm occurs all athletes will seek shelter in the main gym next to the front lobby.

7.) Coaches please make sure that all your athletes pick-up their trash. It is hard to see all the trash after the meet in the dark.

8.) Please keep in mind when arriving that CSHS lets out at 3:25 pm. Traffic is heavy till about 3:45 pm. We would like to start the meet as close to 4 pm as possible. Bus who are staying on campus can park down by the bus lot or up by the soccer field. Please tell them not to block the bus lot entrances.

*Coaches we are getting together several volunteers to help run this meet. It is hard finding parents who can show up in the middle of the afternoon. We may need some of you to help out here and there. Places where we will need help is long/triple and shot/discus. Thanks
