Robert E. Lee\'s Sean Holston nearly took down a long standing 300 meter national record of 33.19 set in 1986 by clocking a US #2 all-time 300 meter performance of 33.21 at the College Games in New York! The time this weekend now makes Holston the fastest Virginian prep ever the event surpassing now US #6 all-time Lashawn Merritt at 33.51. Meanwhile, Fork Union\'s Axel Mostrag won the junior 1000 meter run at the Collegiate Games over a loaded high school field in a US #9 all-time performance of 2:26.11. National record holder Alan Webb is the only Virginian prep ever to run faster for 1000 meters. Photos to left of Holston and Mostrag by David Fleenor. At the St. Christopher\'s Mid-Atlantic Track Clash, the track facility proved itself to be one of the fastest 200 meter flat tracks in the country with the performances turned in. There were a total of four US #2 flat track times recorded with Midlothian\'s Jason Witt in the 3200 meter run (9:17.57), Cox\'s Eddie Judge in the 1600 meter run (4:16.28), and the Manchester boys in the 4x200 (1:30.60) and 4x400 (3:22.44) meter relays.
