Meet Information
Boys: 5:00 p.m.
Girls: 5:45 p.m. (sooner if possible)
Middle School: 6:30 p.m. (sooner if possible - 2 miles)
This is a regular season Jefferson District meet. The following teams are competing:
Fluvanna Flying Flucos
Orange Hornets
Powhatan Indians
Western Albemarle Warriors
We do plan to have a middle school race after the varsity race. It is open to any runners in 6th, 7th and 8th grades and will follow the girls' varsity race. 8th graders may run either in the variety race or the middle school race. If you have any runners or whole teams that you'd like to have race in this, please plan to stay. The middle school race will be 2 miles. Grymes Middle School may also participate in this middle school race.
Please have your busses come through the main gate and drop team off at the steeple chase course (we should already have a tent up unless you're very early). If you want to set up a tent, you can do so in the infield, just make sure you're not on the course.
We'll hand time the races and use the popsicle method to get times.
Montpelier is very excited to let us host the meet here, and the staff has been incredibly cooperative. We ask that everyone please police the area for trash and to be respectful of this historic site.
