Performance list for the 9th annual Atlantic Coast Invitational to be held Saturday, June 23rd at Lakeland High School in Suffolk, Virginia.
The Atlantic Coast Invitational at Lakeland High School in Suffolk on Saturday, some outstanding performances were produced by high schoolers in the age group division summer meet. I.C. Norcom's Isiah Gyasi, AAA state 100 meter champion, rolled out a late state season best in the event with 10.54 clocking. Gyasi claimed the 200 meter dash in the young boys division as well. Meanwhile, J.R. Tucker's Jasia Richardson (pictured right by John Herzog) had one of the meet's most outstanding field events performances of the meet as the sophomore leaped to a personal best mark of 39'11.25" in the triple jump to set herself up well as a future 40 footer as an upperclassmen. The meet also featured an open division for the high school graduates and college athletes too old to compete within the age divisions. Corey Vinston, track star last year at Phoebus High School, had an incredible meet with a 10.16 clocking in the 100 meter dash as well as a leap of 26'2" in the long jump.
