THIRD ANNUAL ROD CAMDEN ALL-STAR CLASSIC
TRACK AND FIELD MEET
SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 2017 10AM

This meet is only open to all schools in the cities of Lynchburg, Roanoke, Danville and Charlottesville and adjacent counties, especially conferences 23,24,30 and 31. It is a meet to bring together the top athletes in each track and field event in the central Virginia area. Its purpose is to give top competition to athletes and relay teams in these areas and to determine the best athletes in central Virginia in each event.
Entries will be taken on milestat in all regular events and relay events. Entries will open at 8am on Saturday April 8 and will close at 8pm on Monday April 24. When the entries are closed the top 10 performances verified by milestat in each event will be entered in the meet. A team can enter as many athletes as they want in an event. On April 25 a performance list of 10 athletes per individual event and 10 relay teams will be published on milestat. If there is a tie for the 10th position, all tying athletes shall be entered. A mass email will be sent out specifying each team's entry fee (please double check the amount). Entry fee is final once the performance list is published.
Each school will be charged $5 per athlete per event accepted in individual events and $10 for each relay team accepted. Maximum entry fee will be $100 per gender. There will be no team score as the emphasis is on excellence in each event. Virginia High School League rules and the regular order of events shall preside. Field events will begin at 10am and running events will commence at 11:00 am. Running events will be on a rolling schedule. A large medal will be awarded to the winner of each event. Concessions and t-shirts will be available.
The meet is named after Rod Camden, a retired track coach who does the Track Honor Roll for the Lynchburg News and Daily Advance.

Upon arrival to the meet, entry fee checks will be collected at the coaches meeting. The coaches meeting will be at 9:20am in the press box where heat sheets and relay cards will be distributed and scratches will be made. Substitution for scratched athletes will not be allowed.
