Meet Information
We would like to invite you and your team to the first Annual Riverbend Twilight Classic, to be held this year Saturday April 18, 2015 at our track in Fredericksburg, VA.
We will accept the First 25 teams.
College/Professional Time Schedule: One of the biggest challenges as a high school coach at a meet, especially with large teams, can be getting your athlete's to the right place at the right time. Like a college or professional meet, we have set a time schedule once we have received all the entries and do our best to follow it as close as possible. This helps the athletes to plan their pre-race routine and hopefully helps alleviate some of the "when should I warm up?" questions for you as a coach. We have included a preliminary projected time schedule and will publish a finalized time schedule once all entries have been received.
Coach's Hospitality: Throughout the course of the meet, your entire coaching staff is invited to our coach's hospitality room. We will be providing Chik-Fil-A sandwiches, pizza, drinks, chips, and baked goods for you all evening.
ATMOSPHERE: Under the lights. Music. Top competition. Fast times. We try to encourage a "big time" atmosphere to bring out the best in each athlete and help them to prepare for Championship Season.
Entry Information
All entries will be done through Milestat.com
The deadline for entries will be April 15 at midnight
The general entry fee is $225 per school, OR $125 per gender and includes:
1 team entry per relay
4 individual entries in each field event
4 individual entries in each running event
You may also enter more individuals/relays for an additional fee:
$5 individual/$15 per relay
Entry/Payment Options: We understand that every team has different needs when it comes to entries for weekend invitational. As such, we have provided two ways to enter our meet: a team entry fee and an individual entry fee. If you are looking to bring an entire team, you can use the team entry fee and receive a certain number of entries per event for a discount. If you are only looking to bring a small number of athletes, you can use the individual entry fee to save money. The individual entry fee may also be used for teams that would like to enter additional athletes in an event over the amount of slots they were given. The entries are opened until 2 days before the meet, to allow time for every to get seeded. If someone plans to come last minute, they would have to email to get in the meet.
Check-in: All track athletes MUST check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of their event. Field event participants should report to their event starting area at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start.
Rules: Only athletes competing in an event and their coaches are allowed in the infield. Please help us keep the facility clean by cleaning up your teams area when you leave.
Facility: Eight lane all weather surface (" spikes only).
Awards: Team Trophies for 1st, 2nd Team for both Boys & Girls. Awards will be given to all athletes who finish in the top 6 individual events and top 3 relays. We will score eight places.
Scoring: The first eight places in each event will score. The standard point distribution of 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 will count towards the overall team score.
Concession: Concession stand will be open throughout the meet.
Admission: $5.00 per person. Children 6 years and under and over 65 admitted free.
Meet Apparel: will be selling meet apparel throughout the course of the evening. Fully customizable t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts and other items will be for sale.
