6A-4 Conference Championship
Entries: All teams are allowed 3 entries per individual event unless more than 3 meet a qualifying standard. 1 relay per team.

2017 6A-4 Outdoor Track Conference Championship

Field Event Officials: 6A-4 Coaches. All teams will have an assigned event.
Exchange Zone judges: 6A-4 Coaches, assignments will be made at the coaches meeting.

Tickets: $7 per day or spectators may purchase a 2 day pass for $12.

Entries: Entries must be submitted via Milestat. All teams are allowed 3 entries per individual event. If more than 3 have met the qualifying standard they may also be entered. 1 relay per team.

Entry Deadline: Entries will be accepted until Sunday, May 13th at 11:59pm. No exceptions.
All entries will be verified through milestat and must be in the data base. Please make sure your roster is updated and the best marks are current on milestat. This includes any weekday dual or tri meets. The results still need to be in the milestat data base in order to verify entries.

Region Qualification: Top three relays and top six placing individuals qualify for the region meet. In addition athletes/relays may qualify by meeting the regional qualifying times.

Schedule of events:
Field Events: All field events will have 4 attempts and no finals.
Running Events: All running events will be final based on time (no prelims). Heats are organized slow to fast. Girls/Boys.

Wednesday May 17th-Track opens at 2:00PM Competition begins at 4PM.

3:30PM Coaches Meeting.

Boys and Girls LJ followed by TJ
Girls Pole Vault followed by Boys Pole Vault
Boys High Jump followed by Girls High Jump
Boys Discus followed by Girls Discus
Girl Shot Put followed by Boys Shot Put

5:45PM (or as soon as most field events conclude)
Girls 4x800 Relay followed by Boys 4x800 Relay

Thursday May 18th- Track opens at 2:00PM
3:30PM- Coaches Meeting
4:00PM: Time schedue TBD after entries are closed.

Notes, reminders and instructions:

1. Please have your bus enter at the Antietam entrance and drive straight to the back of the school. Normal school bus departure time is 2:20-2:30Pm. The area gets very congested so plan accordingly.
2. Teams are not allowed in the school. Please remind your athletes.
3. All teams should arrive dressed and ready to compete. The bathrooms area is small.
4. Trainer will be on site. Please bring tape/wrap and anything else you anticipate needing. Athletes requiring taping or specific treatment will need a note from your school trainer.
5. Spectator fee is $7 per day or $12 for both days.
6. Please remind athletes to clean up the team area before departing. Trash bags will be available.
7. Coaches will work field events.
8. Top six performances and top 3 relays move onto the 6A-S Regional meet along with any auto qualifiers.

Competition reminders:

1. The infield area is closed to all athletes. Athletes getting ready to compete or just finishing competing will be allowed in the check in and staging area only.
2. All spectators will remain outside of the competition area. This includes field events. Athletes not competing in the event are considered spectators so please make sure they are aware of this.
3. Uniform and electronics rule is in effect and will be enforced. No electronics inside the fenced area of the track.
4. Check-in will be behind the F.A.T. tent in the paddock area.
5. Horizontal jumps and throws 4 attempts, no finals.
6. Athletes must check in and out of events if they are competing in multiple events at the same time. Athlete needs to return within 10 minutes of the completion of the event he/she checked out for.
7. Opening height for PV and HJ will be one step height below the conference standard.
8. Schedule is rolling. Girls followed by boys, slower seeds to faster seeds. All sections are finals.
9. Games committee will be announced at coaches meeting.
10. In the event of lightning, teams will be evacuated to buses and the VHSL Inclement weather policy will be enforced. If your bus is not staying, your team will evacuate to the building.
11. Good sportsmanship please. Win with grace, lose with dignity.
