Awards:
Trophy: boys/girls team champions
Medals: top six individuals; top 3 relays
Medals will be given on the mid-field podium immediately following events.

Advancement to Region 4A West Region:
Top 6 in individual events
Top 2 relay teams
Any athlete who achieves a 4A West Region Standard during the meet.
Any Athlete who has achieved a 4A West Region Standard during the regular season in a meet of 4 or more teams.

Scoring:
8 Places in all events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Entry Guidelines:

All track times should be entered as FAT. If time is hand-timed, round UP to the next tenth, then ADD .24 (11.6 hand-timed = 11.84 FAT)

Teams may enter THREE (3) athletes per event and ONE (1) relay team per school.

Additional individual athletes may be entered in an event if
ALL athletes have met the Conference 21 standard for that event.
Please NOTE THE DATE AND LOCATION OF THE MEET IN
WHICH THE STANDARD WAS ACHIEVED if not in the milestat
database.

Field Events:
Three trial attempts for all field events. The top nine will advance to the finals. Finalists receive three additional attempts.
Flight Format will be used
High Jump - starting heights: TBA by games committee
Meet officials must verify event implements.
Implement Verification: East side of Team Rooms near garage area 3:00-3:30 pm (south end of stadium)

Facility:
8-lane rubber track, runways, high jump area
Only up to - inch pyramid spikes are permitted
Concrete throwing circles
All teams should dress at home
Restrooms press box/concession building
No team lockers will be available.

Parking:
All buses should drop off at Main Gate and park in the bus parking area near softball practice field.
All other vehicles should park in the stadium parking lot.

Admission Fee:
$6.00 for all spectators per day.
Athletes must be dressed in their school uniform to be admitted free.

T-shirts:
Conference 21 Track and Field T-shirts will be on sale.

Concessions:
Concessions will be available.


Hospitality:

There will be a hospitality area.
The hospitality room is reserved for Principals, ADs, T&F coaches and meet personnel. No athletes or managers will be allowed in the hospitality area.

Region Entries:
The Region 4A West entry information, qualifying standards and meet information will be in the team packets.

- VHSL forms emailed to Lance Carter ( lcarter@amherst.k12.va.us ) by Monday, May 22 at 12:00PM.

Miscellaneous:

Field Events: Participants must report to the event area by second call. Absence for the third call may result in a scratch for the event.
Track Events: Participants must report to the bullpen by second call. Absence for the third call could result in a scratch for the event and the remainder of the track events.
Only athletes in the bullpen are permitted on the infield. All other coaches, athletes, and spectators must remain outside of the fence around track area.
Properly Equipped and Sportsmanship Certification Form: The form must be completed and returned at the coaches meeting.
Shot put and discus will be verified from 3:00 3:30 pm.
Uniform Rule: Meet management will follow the uniform rule as stated in the NFHS Track & Field Rule Book. It is the responsibility of the athletes and coaches to follow the uniform rule
